Meghan King Edmonds slams her estranged husband / sports great Jim Edmonds after he accused her of telling “lies for publicity” when she revealed on her “Intimate Knowledge” podcast that the couple had a threesome when they were married.
“As far as threesomes go, there were a more than few initiated by Meghan and only Meghan,” Jim told Us Weekly on Monday.
“I never initiated anything,” Meghan, 35, exclusively told Page Six. “I went along with things because I thought that’s what he wanted. I wanted to feel as comfortable as possible. We only had one threesome and only once during our marriage and that was with his current girlfriend.”
She continued, “I think his attempt to sex shame me illustrates the vile mind of this man. I am the mother of his children and to attempt to exploit deeply personal decisions we made as a couple is his attempt to damage the mother of his children and also attempts to demean me in the most vulnerable way possible: sex. It’s sick to break me down like this while I’m with all of our kids every day and night and he’s on day 5 of gallivanting around Cabo with my former friend/whore whose going on shopping sprees with his new f–k buddy.”
“I find out that when he goes to Cabo for a birthday party, while I’m just doing the thing with our son, from my understanding he takes this girl with him … this threesome girl,” she said during the episode. “I had it confirmed when she went shopping with his credit card at a very expensive store telling all the people that her boyfriend was taking her to Cabo tomorrow and here’s his credit card so that she can buy expensive clothes.”
The reality star continued, “So, they are in Cabo right now. This girl, who I thought was my friend, who I cast aside my uncomfortability [sic] with threesomes — everything that I had in my head about a threesome being weird and gross — because I was fun and I wanted to do things for my husband and then this girl betrayed me.”
Meghan welcomed the idea of having threesomes early on in their marriage because she knew that Jim had a “bad boy” past and she wanted to “have fun.”
“We’re getting divorced, but why couldn’t you have said to me as a friend — she’s a friend — why couldn’t she have said something to me?” Meghan said on her podcast.
“There is no affair going on here,” Jim said. “It has been a plus one for the weekend.”
The former MLB star also accused his estranged wife of initiating threesomes on her own, and added, “Recently, I have learned that she carried on with a few of these women without me being present. Would that not be considered cheating?”
“I never carried on with any woman outside of these consensual acts,” Meghan explained in response to the accusations that she was unfaithful, and insisted the threesome only occurred once.
